This is getting stupid. The headline on Drudge this morning is "Wouldn't You Like To Know" talking about Obama teasing a reporter who had asked about his VP pick.
This is all making Obama look VERY bad in the eyes of the electorate. He is making such a big deal out of it that it appears he is saying this person he chooses WILL BE the next VP of the United States, as opposed to simply being a nominee's VP pick.
I understand a little showmanship, but this has gone on far too long. And I cant for the life of me remember an election where a nominee made this big of a hullabaloo out of his VP pick.
Announce, Obama. Just do it, so we can move on. You're not helping people to see you as an everyday person. This is simply giving loads of ammo to operatives trying to paint you as out elitist and out of touch. I would say to hurry and announce before the damage is done, but I think it's too late. Damage is already done.
Just announce, ffs.
Today the press is full of stories concerning Obama's falling polling numbers. The right wing outlets are having a great time blasting our candidate for his 'failures' as a politician. However here at MYDD we seem to be content to let them run with it with little or no objection from us. I perused the diaries this morning and don't see even one diary concerning our next play in countering this propaganda. It seems as if we're content to simply stick our heads in the sand and hope that them bad mens go way!
This is not the way to win, folks. This is not the way to get Obama elected.
